“I don’t care what they say about it being lucky, no couple really wants to wake up to thunderstorms on their wedding day. But Karen + Matt were under no circumstances going to let it get them down, and it didn’t! Karen is just about one of the most bubbly, cheerful, warm people I’ve ever met. Both she and Matt are librarians, so I knew they would be super-organized and prepared, and sure enough, there were rain plans, and we executed them to a T! When we got to the hotel it was already pouring out, but luckily, we had some gorgeous window light at the hotel for getting ready and detail shots! Karen handmade all of their “florals” from lace and books, since they’re librarians. Karen made these out of the TAX CODE! She had copies lying around from her law school days, and apparently, the tissue-like paper was perfect for the DIY project. But we couldn’t stop giggling over it. When the ceremony started, it was POURING, but as the thunder whispered behind their a cappella choir’s voices, Karen’s brother walked her over to the pavilion under a giant white umbrella, and everything was perfect.”

We are one month out from Maryland’s finest wedding vendors gathering up their event “leftovers” for you to snag for a steal, at this unique indoor boutique yard sale! The event is open to the public and free to attend.

-the average yard sale junkie
-moms, teachers, crafters, decorators, artists
-college students, hip home decor addicts who love a deal
-anyone that likes hanging out with cool wedding vendors

WHAT WILL YOU BE ABLE TO BUY?
A long and crazy list of things you might be able to buy include: Vases, Votives, Frames, Linens, Signage, Accessories, Furniture, Table Number Holders, Invitation Pockets, Envelopes, Card stock, Embellishments, rhinestones, stickers, washi tape, glitter paper, specialty stock, Ribbon, rope, twine, bags/totes, Serving pieces, Glassware, China, Office Supplies, Equiptment, Décor pieces, Paper props – photobooth accessories, crafting supplies, bakeware – baking supplies, company tshirts/branding items, old bridal magazines/literature

Quiet Waters Park Engagement Session by Nichole Meredith Photography

Today’s bride gave us a glimpse into what made their Quiet Waters Park engagement session true to her and her fiance as a couple. “Nichole helped us choose Quiet Waters Park after we let her know our preference for being outdoors and really wanting to focus on our relationship rather than our surroundings. The shirt Alex is wearing is one of his oldest shirts that he wore on our first date. My dress didn’t have the same historical significance but was rather used to foreshadow my future wedding dress. In this way, we had a nice blend of past and future integrated into one shot. As for the Annapolis location, Alex and I originally bonded over smoothies and ice cream. The ice cream shots by the water were a throwback to our early days and an opportunity for us to be goofy. We know relationships can get stale as time goes by, so we actively work to keep ours’ silly and playful. We got married September 5th on my parent’s property in Columbia, MD. We’re now happily married and loving every moment!”

Growing up, her birthday parties were always the most anticipated…and her wedding was no different. With Tom, she planned a wedding that was the perfect celebration of the beginning of their lives together – one that tied together the things they love as a couple (being by the water, good food, good music), with all of the beauty and romance they felt for each other. I loved the monogram they made of rose petals, the perfect flower art to display down the aisle, and the classy and colorful centerpieces of summer flowers. And the video of their day by Ryan Geldermann so perfectly captures the joy Liz + Tom shared as they joined their lives together.”
