Cumberland Engagement by Sarah Gormley Photography

Today, we’re sharing Part 2 of Emma & Mark’s Cumberland Engagement. Yesterday, we featured their fun and intimate engagement party and today we have none other than their engagement session. Thanks to Sarah Gormley Photography for sharing her photos and heartfelt words with us!

From Sarah: “In July, my best friend – my big sister – will get married. Words can’t express what she means to me or how amazing it is to see her this happy with such a kind and grounded guy. When she asked me to be her wedding photographer, I knew this was my opportunity to show her just how incredible I think it is that she and Mark have found each other. I did this the only way I know how – by creating photos that reflect the beauty and emotion that we all know is there between them. I’m counting down the days until I have the chance to do this again as photographer and maid of honor at their summer wedding in our Maryland hometown.”

Mount Vernon Engagement by Megan Beth

Happy Monday! Today’s lovely engagement session takes place in Mount Vernon Square. We just love this area of Baltimore for its beautiful buildings, landmarks, and historic feel. Thanks to Megan Beth for sharing this one with us!

From the bride: “Gabe and I met at University of Maryland while we were tailgating for a football game with a mutual friend. After graduating from UMD, we moved to Baltimore and got engaged a few years later. In true romantic style, Gabe proposed in my parents’ kitchen on a Monday morning before work. We currently live in the Historic Pigtown neighborhood of Baltimore city with our two cats, Mow Mow and Mr. B. I work as a CPA and Gabe works for the Homeless Services department of the Baltimore Count Department of Planning. We love traveling and trying new restaurants together.”

LoveBirds: Things To Do Around Baltimore – May Edition

Have you felt it in the air lately? The smell of the trees blooming, the grass growing, the birds chirping? Warmer weather has finally graced Baltimore and with it comes so much to see and do! We’ve got a few great suggestions on things to do with your sweetie during the month of May.

LoveBirds: Things To Do Around Baltimore – May Edition

  • For the film buffs and lovers of the art of cinematography, don’t miss the Maryland Film Festival, happening May 8th – May 12th. With films from all over world and “several highly anticipated made-in-Baltimore films”, this years festival may be the best one yet.
  • Getting your flower garden ready? Head to the 2013 FlowerMart on Friday May 3rd & Saturday May 4th from 11am – 8pm. Not only a flower market, a variety of vendors will be on hand selling plants, arts & crafts, knick knacks, and of course food. Top it off with 2 stages of live entertainment and this is a great way to spend a day with your loved one!
  • If you’ve never been to the annual Kinetic Sculpture Race, this is the year to do it. What is it? As per the race’s website, “Kinetic Sculptures are amphibious, human powered works of art custom built for the race. Each May, the American Visionary Art Museum (AVAM) hosts the East Coast Kinetic Sculpture Race Championship on the shore of Baltimore’s Inner Harbor in central Maryland. The eight-hour race covers 15 miles—mostly on pavement, but also including a trip into the Chesapeake Bay and through mud and sand.” The race sculptures are a sight to see!
  • We always love to recommend a good place to eat, and this edition is no different. Take a trip to the neighborhood of Remington and check out the Papermoon Diner, who offers an “eccentric, eclectic, technicolor dining experience”. And the food is nothing short of AMAZING.

Happy May, LoveBirds!
