Federal Hill Engagement by Photos by Sarah Beth

Today’s e-session comes to you from Photos by Sarah Beth. David and Sarah battled the heat on a scorching hot July day, but you wouldn’t be able to tell one bit! With Baltimore being their hometown, it was perfect for them to take photos in the Federal Hill area.

From Sarah: “David and Sarah met through a matchmaker: David’s mom! David’s mom met Sarah in church and just knew Sarah would be perfect for her son… and perfect she was! I met this sweet and very-much-in-love couple at Federal Hill Park in Baltimore on a very hot July day, though you would never know that by the way the two interacted with one another! They were so natural in expressing their love for each other in front of a camera and I felt as though I was just following them on a special date. David and Sarah’s hometown is Baltimore and they spend a lot of time in the downtown area. Federal Hill was the perfect place for their engagement pictures!”

Catonsville Wedding by Rachel Harrod Photography

Today’s sweet couple are from Maryland and wanted to put a true Southern flair on their wedding day. Catie and Austin’s wedding took place on a gorgeous day in May, during Memorial Day weekend. Their DIY touches made their special day their very own, unique celebration!

From Rachel Harrod Photography: “When I arrived at the house in Catonsville, where Catie was getting ready, there were so many amazing details strewn about! She brought in her love for the south through gingham shirts for the guys, and seersucker table cloths at the reception! Austin’s love for lacrosse came through in the boutonnieres with all of them wrapped in LAX threading. Catie and Austin did such an amazing job making it all come together on their wedding day!”

Fells Point Proposal by Ashley Michelle Photography

There’s just something about witnessing a proposal that makes us tear up, and whether we know the couple or not, being privy to the moment is just magical. We’re so excited to feature a proposal today, where the bride-to-be didn’t know that her boyfriend had hired a photographer to capture the moment!

A bit more from the photographer, Ashley Michelle Photography: “Evan contacted me about two weeks before he planned to propose. I was so excited! I met Evan at “the spot” the Monday before the proposal to go over the details of the surprise. Evan was planning on taking his then girlfriend Erin out for their one year dating anniversary. They would take their boat from Middle River to Anchorage Marina and then walk to “the spot” which was the corner of S. Ann & Thames. This spot had sentimental meaning to the couple because Evan and Erin had a long relationship talk here about what they wanted out of life and where their relationship was going before heading to dinner on Labor Day of 2012. Love that he was thinking about all of these little details–so sweet! After the proposal, both sets of parents would be waiting at John Seven’s Tavern to celebrate with them.

On the day of the proposal, it was raining on and off the entire day. But this proposal was happening rain or shine. Luckily, the rain held off once the couple docked. I was pacing back and forth at my spot waiting for their arrival and finally I spotted them. They walked to the spot and I followed slowly…..trying not to get too close. They were talking and just looked so cute and content just being with each other while looking out at the water. Finally Evan got down on one knee and Erin said YES!! The whole thing was such a surprise and then she found out her parents and Evan’s parents had been watching the entire time and were right across the street.”

Congratulations to the lovely couple!
