Super Secret Project: Revealed!

Today’s the day! We’ve been working non-stop behind the scenes, getting ready to announce what you’ve been so patiently waiting for: Our Super Secret Project!

Without further adieu, we are very pleased to announce that, in February 2014, Charm City Wed will be hosting its very first wedding show, The Mix Event! We’re working alongside a talented team to bring our vision to life and we couldn’t be more excited! A huge thank you and shout out goes to Lemon & Lime Event DesignClickspark, and Love by Serena for all of their hard work thus far in pulling everything together! (And thanks to Andy & Bree of Capitol Romance for being such a lovely models for the photo!)

The Mix Event

Why “The Mix,” you ask? The Mix represents all things wedding – flipped upside down. We’ll be hosting an unconventional wedding show where all walks of life share the same creative, eccentric, out-of-the-box wedding thinking. The Mix represents anyone who believes in love and sharing it in a non-traditional fashion.

We believe that weddings and marriages are a mix. A mix of ideas, loves, cultures, designs, families… everything! We want to celebrate that mix that creates a whole new entity of its own; your new family. Our show will be more than just a place to meet vendors; it will be an evening affair with live music, drinks, and a great opportunity for you and your sweetie to have a date and chat all things wedding!

Want to be the first to know more details? Head on over The Mix Event and sign up (and be sure to Like Us on Facebook too!).

Friday Wrap-up & Proposal Video!

Happy Friday! Today, we’re making a couple of quick announcements to wrap up this week.

  • Keep your eyes peeled for something big that’s in the works. We’ll be announcing it next week – so stay tuned!
  • Casting Call: We’re looking for a variety of fun, stylish, and diverse couples (engaged or married) for a super secret project (our big announcement), held this upcoming Sunday and Monday (September 15th & 16th)! This project will involve short interviews (filming) and a mini session (photography), so all couples will be asked to sign a model release. On Sunday, the 15th, we’ll be shooting from 4:30-7:30pm in Fells Point. On Monday, we are available anytime and can be flexible on time & location. If you’re interested and available in participating, please e-mail 1-2 images of the two of you, when you’re available to shoot, and some wedding details (date, ceremony location, and theme) to hello@charmcitywed.com. If you have any specific questions, let us know and we’ll be in touch!
  • We’ll be speaking at Envision this November 12th to 14th in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware! If you’re a photographer looking to learn, this workshop might be for you! Click here to get more information and register!

We also stumbled upon this amazing proposal that went viral on YouTube this week. Though it’s not local to our area, we simply had to share the love!

And… in case you missed them – here’s a wrap up of this week’s awesome posts:

Baldwin Hall Wedding by Sarah Culver Photography

Today’s stunner of a wedding by Sarah Culver Photography is an absolute dream and is one of our favorites to date! From the gorgeous shoes, to the breathtaking floral crown, to the incredible reception details… we simply cannot get enough of this fun celebration!

From Sarah: “Kelsey’s day job involves store design at Anthropologie, so I knew her wedding was going to be amazing. But nothing prepared me for how she transformed a little community hall into the most beautiful and creative reception location I’d ever seen! The whole day was full of so much love and help from everyone around them. Kelsey and Kagan even demonstrated their teamwork by the tradition of ‘sawing a log’ at their reception.”
