After last week’s heat wave, we were inspired to post some fun ideas to help tackle the heat for summer weddings. Summer in the Baltimore area can be brutally humid, so it’s great to be prepared. We’ve listed a few ideas on how to keep yourself and your guests comfortable…
Fans are fantastic for outdoor ceremonies or locations with minimal airflow. Ceremony program fans are even better – as they serve a dual-purpose.
Bug spray is a great idea for outdoor, woodsy weddings.
Refreshments such as lemonade, tea, or water will keep your guests happy and well-hydrated. There’s nothing worse than thirsty guests during a scorching hot outdoor ceremony. Even a nice bucket with small bottles of water will do.
Other Ideas:
- Misting Machines or Sprinklers are great for outdoor, laid-back receptions. Many locations won’t allow this, but if you’re having a wedding at a private residence, this idea can work. It’s also great for keeping any little ones entertained.
- Be sure to check the Historical Averages for your date! WeatherSpark is a great site to check for averages. Your date may end up differing from previous years, but it’s still good to get a general idea.
We hope this helps keep you and your guests cool! A special thanks goes to Borrowed Blue Photography for the lovely images.
