Christmas Wedding Inspiration by Bekah Kay Creative

Sara Reynolds Events designed this shoot as Christmas wedding inspiration for winter brides that want a little extra holiday cheer for their wedding. She wanted to showcase the theme of “All I want for Christmas is You”; by imagining a bride and groom that just said “I do” and now want to open their cozy home up to all their friends and family for their first Christmas together. Just as the song says “I don’t care about the presents underneath the Christmas tree” this couple cares more about being together with everyone for Christmas. Thinking about the wedding as the beginning of a marriage, we envisioned this couple coming home to a living room set in classic Christmas fashion; complete with a decorated tree, fluffy pillows, and a warm faux throw.

A lush red and deep green color scheme was gorgeous against the rustic but elegant backdrop that the Mt. Washington Mill Dye house provided. The tablescape, complete with the quintessential plaid, allowed for a gorgeous but cozy place for the guests to dine with the new Mr. and Mrs. We also dressed the sweetheart chairs with boxwood wreaths as homage to the wreath on your door at home.

This winter bride, is elegant and romantic and wants her guests to feel comfortable and cozy. While winter can often feel dark and cold, this was an inspiration for the bride that wants to portray the romance and festiveness of the season. I think every bride on their wedding day wakes up feeling a little bit like it is Christmas morning, and that’s the excitement and endearment we wanted to display.

You guys are in for quite a treat to kick off this Christmas week! This Maryland Christmas Wedding Styled Shoot, complete with a floral adorned sleigh is simply stunning. Jenna from Pop the Cork Designs shares more about how the shoot came to be. “I recently teamed up with White Glove Rentals with a shared vision of a rustic glam Christmas. With a deep red and burgundy floral design from Petals + Promises and accents of gold and forest green, this shoot definitely has us feeling the holiday spirit. We wanted to do an editorial that incorporated an entire bridal party. Wren Bridal brought elegant Donna Morgan bridesmaids gown and Helena Noelle Couture loaned us the most exquisite jewelry. A gorgeous Christmas sleigh and white horse had us all ready for Christmas.”

Charming and regal, we always love a Belvedere and Co Events wedding! Living Radiant Photography shares that the couple, Travis & Ashley met at The McDonogh School, where they both work. It only made sense for them to also get married there, in the Tagart Chapel! The reception at the Belvedere was insanely fun – make sure you check out the dance moves towards the end of the night!

Sunflower Engagement Session by Photography by Brea

We don’t think you’ll find a more radiant couple than in this Sunflower Engagement Session by Photography by Brea! Brea tells us, “Meredith and Hannah’s session is easily one of my all time favorites. We had planned this session a while ago, and picked a date in September hoping that we’d get lucky and the sunflowers would be around. Thankfully we were, and the sunflowers had bloomed just days before! Hannah is obsessed with the sunflowers and it was a great place to start our session! After climbing through the sunflowers for a while, we headed down to the University of Baltimore School of Law where Meredith studies for the rest of our session. This is literally the coolest building I’ve ever been in. It’s a smart building so there are all sorts of neat features like blinds that open and close on their own based on the sunlight, and windows that open when the temperature reaches a certain range outside. The architecture is pretty awesome too. We got some photos on the rooftop terrace, in the law library, and around the building. It was such a fun creative challenge, and we ended up with a set of photos that capture both of their personalities in a genuine way.”
