This love story started with the couples as babies and grew into one gorgeous Backyard Waterfront Wedding by Mike B Photography when the two families became one. Even their Save the Date included a photo of the couple dancing in Grade School (awwww!) Mike of Mike B Photography tells us, “From diapers to ‘I do’s, Kylie and Grant have been at each other’s sides for many major moments but it wasn’t until after college that the fireworks really started to take off. As the two grew up as family friends, it only makes sense that the pair ended up tying the knot at the bride’s parents’ house – the backdrop to many of their shared memories. While maintaining an elegant vibe, the setting of the Big Day allowed the couple and their guests to relax and enjoy each other’s company – it was, of course, at home! The pair decided to take advantage of the scenic view of the water and kept the décor to a minimum for a light and airy feel.

After a romantic first look at the end of Kylie’s grandparents’ pier (next door!), the lovebirds made their way to the ceremony where they said their vows under a gorgeous arbor that was handmade by her grandfather. However, their special celebration wasn’t about the details at all – instead, the love and emotions that flowed from all directions was all that Kylie and Grant had to focus on to know their wedding day was just how they dreamed of it. “Try to enjoy the process,” encouraged Kylie. “It can get stressful and you can lose sight of what is truly important throughout the planning. I always reminded myself that this was such a big day not only for Grant and I, but for those who raised us and have been such a big part of of our lives and relationship!”
