It’s the beginning of the 2016 wedding season and our Maryland Wedding Venue Profiles are back! And what a Venue to kick things off with! We are pleased to introduce to you, Tabrizis Wedding Venue, located in downtown Baltimore.  We are excited to showcase a few stunning waterfront weddings at this location throughout the week, so make sure you check back each day to see a different style.

History:

The first Tabrizi’s incarnation was in 1990 in Federal Hill when many people didn’t know what hummus, tabbouleh, and baba ghanoush were. Mr. Tabrizi saw it as his own duty to enlighten and educate people on Middle Eastern cuisine as well as delivering the food with a European flair. The uniqueness of his business sets him apart from other restaurants in the area. He sold his business in 1997 to take a break and tried the dot.com business in its booming beginnings. He then realized that being in the bustling Baltimore restaurant scene was where his passions were. He reopened his restaurant in 2007 at the new location in the Harborview community overlooking the marina.

Tabrizi’s offers a variety of cuisines ranging from Greek and Moroccan to French and Lebanese. After establishing himself as a top restaurant on the east coast, we say east coast because some guests come all the way from Washington D.C. to try some of our delicacies, his next goal is to become one of the top wedding venues in Maryland and the number one wedding venue in Baltimore, MD.

Ceremonies:

Wedding ceremonies can take place on the first floor outdoor patio directly on the water. A cocktail hour will follow at our large outdoor bar. In the case of inclement weather, we do have a Plan B. In the case of rain, the ceremony will be held on the second floor, with the succeeding cocktail hour on the first floor. Our staff will reset the reception area during this hour.

Cocktail Hour:

Following the ceremony, the cocktail hour will be held at the venue’s large outdoor bar (weather permitting) with gorgeous views of the Inner Harbor.






Receptions:

Receptions at Tabrizis have some of the best waterfront views in the city! Our ballroom can seat up to 230 guests for a formal sit-down dinner with a dance floor, band/DJ, or photo booth area. Our band area offers all electrical needs for a large band. Our banquet tables are 60” across and can seat 8-10 people. Enjoy your special evening as your guests dance under our ceiling of stars and you can even head out with your photographer to get pictures in front of some famous Baltimore scenery like the Domino’s Sugar sign!

The room rental fee and food and beverage minimums all are based on your number of guests. The room rental fee includes: All standard linens, Tables, Chivari chairs, China, Silverware, Glassware, Setup, Break-Down, Cleaning and 24 hours complimentary parking.

Tabrizis Catering:

No outside liquor or food can be brought to our facility due to the current strict liquor license laws. Wedding cakes are the only exception, when accompanied by a food liability waiver signed by both you and your baker. We may permit outside caterers for ethnic food, however, only if all the food preparation is performed in our kitchens.

Venue Coordinator:

We offer an event coordinator free of charge. They take care of the setup and execution of the event based on the specific contract and instructions on table setup and floor layout. Let your coordinator handle communication with vendors so that all you are thinking about on your wedding day is your significant other.

Don’t Forget:

We offer many rehearsal dinners throughout the year, especially on Fridays, which last about 3 hours. Our capacity ranges from 30-230 people! We typically begin with an open bar and passed appetizers, followed by a pre-set house salad and dual entrée for the price of one. Your guests will be able to savor more choices. The event closes with your choices of dessert, coffee, and tea. Wine is served during dinner, and the bar is open the entire event. Vegetarian meals or dietary restrictions are welcome. Free 3 hour parking is included.
