April Showers, bring May flowers in this cheery Spring Quiet Waters Park Engagement Session by Molly Lichten Photography. These two sure know how to light up a camera as they share a few kisses throughout the Annapolis waterfront park. Molly tells us,“Quiet Waters Park provided the perfect bright backdrop for Emily and Eric’s engagement session. Since the two will be tying the knot in the fall, they knew from the beginning that they wanted a spring shoot, and their session certainly epitomized spring! From Emily’s bright yellow dress to the yellow daffodils that had just burst into bloom to the hidden docks we stumbled across just as the sun began to set across the water, the afternoon was full of life, love, and lots of color.”
We love hearing how couples have met, and for Katelynn+Chris, they had to reach back far into their memory bank! Their Mansion at Valley Country Club wedding was elegant and romantic, and we particularly love the bridesmaid dresses! Living Radiant Photography, had this to add – “These two lovebirds have been friends since first grade. First Grade! They were in same classes and finally went separate in high school. Chris went to Loyola, Katelynn went to NDP. But at last, they met up once again at Washington College together! Watching these two throughout the day was so amazing. The love and sweetness these two have for each other just makes you oooh and ahh all over.”
This adorable couple met while working for the same Beer Distributor, so it’s only natural for them to incorporate it into their Fells Point Engagement Session by Laura’s Focus Photography! The way that these two look at each other, you know they are just smitten with one another! Laura tells us, “It all started with beer for Whitney and Josh! Both happened to work for same beer distributor in Indiana and both have a love for beer! While living 3 hours apart, they made it a goal to visit each other every weekend. Josh then surprised Whitney with a proposal and ring on the very top of the Tribune Building in Chicago while friends waited downstairs! Whitney and Josh have recently made a new home in Baltimore and we picked out some of their favorite spots for their engagement shoot. Their apartment building just so happens to be a historic brewery and the perfect spot to start. We poured a few Samuel Adams beers and explored this amazing structure! Next it was off to Fells Point overlooking the beautiful harbor. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day and I love how sweet these two are together! I also can’t wait to photograph their destination wedding this winter in the Dominican Republic!”
This cool weather we’ve been having lately, has us reminiscing about this fall wedding at the Baltimore Museum of Industry from Pete Redel Photography! The bride shares more about their wedding day – “Robert and I met here in Baltimore and we decided to get married in Charm City where we fell and in love and started our lives together. While I love Maryland, I will always be a Virginia girl at heart so it was important to bring some of my favorite Virginia traditions to the wedding. Appetizers included southern pork BBQ with slaw, signature cocktails in mason jars, Forbes saltwater taffy, and Virginia peanuts at the bar. My groom is a Baltimore native and he grew up on the Chesapeake Bay so between the beach and the bay, a nautical theme felt appropriate for both of us. I have always loved the classic navy blue and white color scheme which was present throughout our wedding from the grosgrain ribbons around the bouquets to my sapphire and diamond wedding band. We got married on Thanksgiving weekend surrounded by family and friends from across the country from Hawaii to Massachusetts. We had a lot to be thankful for and felt truly loved! Our reception venue, The Baltimore Museum of Industry, couldn’t have been more perfect and located on the harbor with a backdrop of sailboats and the famous Domino Sugar sign. We danced the night away to the live music of the Bachelor Boys Band and ended our perfect day with a sparkler send-off. There isn’t a thing I would change about November 28, 2015. It was a dream come true.”
My favorite part of the wedding was first look. We got ready at the Royal Sonesta across from the Inner Habor and our photographer, Pete Redel found a perfect spot for our first look photo shoot at the end of a dock out on the water. I will never forget the butterflies that fluttered in my stomach as I walked across Light street to meet Rob at the end of the dock. It was a truly magical moment and the pictures tell it all.
