Bride, Laurie, says: “Our favorite parts about the wedding were the personal details we included like childhood photos at every table, spending time with family and friends and getting to share such a perfect day with everyone. We had so much fun and the beautiful waterfront venue was perfect, food was amazing and the weather perfectly complimented how wonderful the day was. The colors we picked were a combination of blush pink, gold and silver because the wedding was at night and we wanted to keep things elegant and simple.”

Hot Air Balloon Festival Engagement Session by Lauren E Merrill Photography

Nothing shows off this fun couple’s personalities more than having a Hot Air Balloon Festival Engagement Session by the bride’s cousin, Lauren E. Merrill Photography! Seriously, how fun is this?! The vibrant colors of the hot air balloons during the festival in Turf Valley created the perfect backdrop to show off their silly side! The bride tells us how they met, “Where It All Began: When I went away to college, I was looking for a place to call home. I wanted to redefine myself and find my own way, like all other 18 year olds in this world. I was determined to succeed and rely on myself in this crazy place called “life.” It wasn’t but a few short weeks later that I was standing across the room from the man of my dreams. I knew Alex was the one as soon as I looked up and saw him sitting on the bar, laughing with his friends, and playing the songs on the stereo. It was without a doubt a moment of truth, as I looked at my friends and said, “I’m going to marry that guy one day.” They all laughed and went back to their own conversations. The semester went on and time passed but I never could quite get Alex off my mind. As the following Spring rolled around, Alex and my friend group seemed to collide often. Alex was always around and I, of course, did not mind at all. As we got to know each other, we spent more and more time together. We enjoyed trips to Deep Creek, and South Carolina but still never admitted to dating each other. Alex and I were inseparable when we finally decided to try this “dating” thing out. We quickly realized that nothing changed and technically had been dating for quite some time. I was in shock that the guy that I pointed to and said I wanted to marry was my boyfriend! Was this really happening? It felt that all the stars aligned and nothing else mattered. Here we are just a few years later, anxiously waiting for July to come to say, “I do,” for forever! Not only did I find my home away from home, discovered myself, and overcame quite a few trials and tribulations; I had my best friend by my side to do it all!”

Dani Leigh Photography tells us more: “Melissa was a bridesmaid in a wedding I photographed a few years ago and I knew from that moment that I was in for a treat if this girl ever booked me for her own wedding. Boy was I right! She is an absolute blast to be around all day and Joe was just the same! They made my job super easy and fun. Melissa & Joe have known each other since high school but it wasn’t until a few years later that a few games of beer pong led to a relationship that led to this beautiful day.”

Classic Tabrizi’s Waterfront Wedding by Kathleen Hertel Photography

These two lovebirds in today’s Classic Tabrizi’s Waterfront Wedding by Kathleen Hertel Photography fell in love on vacation! This whirlwind romance started in the Dominican Republic when Rodolfo knew she was “La unica” and their forever began at their beautiful Waterfront wedding in downtown Baltimore! Kathleen tells us, “Rodolfo and I met while I was vacationing in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic with my mom in March 2014. He was working at the resort where we stayed, and from the moment we met, we had an instant connection. He took my mother and I to the local disco and taught us the Latin dance of bachata, where the three of us had an amazing time together. We decided to keep in contact and exchanged numbers before I left Punta Cana. After I returned home, we began talking every night on the phone. Fate came into play when a friend of mine asked me to accompany her to Punta Cana in May 2014 after her original plans had fallen through. I gladly accepted. During this trip, Rodolfo and I spent each day together during my week vacation. My friend warned me to “not fall in love” with him. I remember shaking my head thinking, “Don’t worry, it won’t happen.” Well, on our final night together, as we whizzed helmet-less and kissing in the pouring down rain on the back of a motor, time stood still. In that moment of recklessness and beauty, all worry evaded me and the only sound I heard was that of my own pounding heartbeat. I knew in that moment, I had fallen in love and I had the resounding feeling that he was “the one.” It thrilled me and scared me at the same time…I thought, “This is silly..how would this ever work? He lives in a different country.” However, I followed my heart and continued to visit Rodolfo a few times over the following months. And it was during my third solo trip, on Thanksgiving Day, November 27, 2014, that he proposed to me with a ring. My dream had come true! Rodolfo knew I was “La unica” (the one) as well. Now I could spend the rest of my life with my best friend and soul mate.”
