Sherwood Gardens Engagement by Marcella Treybig

There’s nothing like the natural beauty mother nature gives us in the spring, especially the rainbow of colors in the newly bloomed flowers. This couple took advantage of the gorgeous spring scenery in today’s e-session!

From the photographer, Marcella Treybig: “The location of this beautiful and very surreal blooming garden engagement session was Sherwood Gardens. With the warm year this past spring, all the flowers were in full bloom nice and early just in time for this April engagement session. Amanda and Karan are both doctors (just finished this year) and are now living in Berkley, CA doing their residency. A match made in heaven!”

Baltimore Wedding by Chelsea Hudson Photography

We have a gorgeous wedding to share with you all today. Jen and Jason made the best of what could have been a very frustrating day, and they have the gorgeous pictures to prove it!

The photographer, Chelsea Hudson puts it into words better than we ever could: “What a day! Not only was it the hottest weekend of the year to date, but it was also the weekend of THE STORM that knocked us all out of electricity for far too long. How’s that for the makings of a wonderful outdoor garden wedding? The bride’s home lost power and the forecast called for yet another downpour at 5:30pm – which also happened to be the starting time of the ceremony. The bride and her parents could have gone postal over all of this, but they didn’t. I can’t tell you how impressed I was with their calm, focused, can-do-this attitudes. We had no fans, and no A/C, but Jen and Jason chose to stay calm and choose joy over panic as they were going to join their lives together that day: rain, shine, or wind. I count it a real privilege and joy to have been the photographer of their wedding. I witnessed such strength of character throughout the day, not only from the bride, groom, and wedding party – but even from the guests. Everyone was there to support Jen and Jason, and celebrate. I laugh as I remember everyone telling Jen, “Wow, what a great story this is going to be…” and Jen kept saying, “Ahhh! I don’t want a STORY, I want a wedding!” and in the end, she got both.”

DIY Recipe: Key Lime Pie

Today we have a treat for you: a sweet treat! Whether you bake up these delicious little pies for your wedding, rehearsal dinner, or just for a date night, this super easy recipe is sure to please.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • 2 6-count packages Keebler Ready Crust Mini Graham Cracker Pie Crusts
  • 1/2 cup lime juice (4 – 8 limes depending on size)
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 14-oz can sweetened condensed milk
  • lime zest
  • Reddi-Whip

Ok, let’s get baking!

First, Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  1. Place the mini pie crusts on a large cookie sheet and set aside.
  2. Zest one or two of the limes, place the zest in a mixing bowl.
  3. Squeeze enough limes to yield 1/2 juice, pour into same mixing bowl.
  4. Add egg yolks and condensed milk and mix well, until thick and creamy.
  5. Pour the mixture into the mini pie crusts and bake for 14 minutes.
  6. Allow the pies to cool for 20 minutes, then chill in the refrigerator for 1 – 2 hours until completely chilled.
  7. Top with a dollop of Reddi-Whip and a bit more lime zest, and enjoy!

Graffiti Warehouse Engagement by Travis Curry

Talk about fun and creative! We are so excited to feature this awesome e-session today. It’s the perfect way to kickstart your Monday!

From Travis Curry (the photographer): “I had so much fun with Paige and Joey’s engagement session, these two are a great couple and you can really see how supportive they are of each other. In an email Paige wrote me, she said that her and Joey weren’t really “park people” and she suggested using the Graffiti Warehouse. When I read this email I sat at my desk, clapped my hands and said out loud, “YESSSS!” I love mixing up shoots with locations and the Graffiti Warehouse is an amazing location with tons of urban influence and beautiful natural light. P+J brought along their bulldog, Tido (who just celebrated his first birthday last week!) to join in on the fun. As you can see, Tido is a rockstar. I loved this engagement shoot because it was something different and both Paige and Joey brought a lot of creativity and ideas to the shoot.”
