Ellicott City Engagement by Brittany Thomas Photography

Today’s engagement session by Brittany Thomas Photography takes place in one of my favorite locations in the area: Historic Ellicott City! The area is loaded with fun antique shops, great places to grab a bite, and a ton of fun photo spots.

From Brittany: “Jamie & Manny met while attending college in Western Maryland. As it happens, both of them are self-professed comic book geeks. After graduation, they moved to the Baltimore area and fell in love with Historic Ellicott City. When Manny proposed, there wasn’t any other place more fitting than Ellicott City in the fall for their engagement photos. They’re planning a blue & silver winter wedding in Columbia, MD next December.”

Cumberland Engagement by Andy Sams Photography

Although we’re a blog based in Charm City, we love the entire Maryland area. If you’ve never made the trip out to Cumberland (western Maryland), we’d highly recommend it. It’s a bit out of the way for most, but it’s a fantastic place to visit, if you’re looking for a small-town, nature feel. Not to mention, it’s right around the corner from the lovely Deep Creek Lake!

Ashley and Bill’s engagement session was captured in Downtown Cumberland by Andy Sams Photography. We’ll let Andy take it from here:

“In my formative years, I spent a lot of time hanging out in the Historic District of Cumberland, MD. This made mapping out locations for Ashley and Bill’s engagement session really easy (and nostalgic!) for me. We shot along the tow path, the local jogging trail, and even at the old train depot. I love how we were able to use color to really show off their personality and the eclectic style of Cumberland.”

Federal Hill Baltimore Proposal by Liz & Ryan

Nothing makes us tear up like seeing a proposal caught in the moment! The groom-to-be, John, met up with photographers Liz & Ryan to make the plan, and set the evening in motion. John and his bride-to-be, Samantha had a romantic dinner at The Rusty Scupper and then headed over to Federal Hill for an evening stroll. John bent down to ‘tie his shoe’, but when Samantha looked back, she realized he was doing something else. The rest of the story is in the pictures! Congratulations to the engaged couple!
