Towson Courthouse Wedding by Love by Serena

Today’s lovely Towson Courthouse wedding comes from our very own editor and photographer, Love by Serena. Mariama and Peyton tied the knot with an intimate ceremony, surrounded by their closest of friends and family. They both provided us with a personal snippet, so we’ll let them take it from here!

From Mariama: “Peyton and I had been dating for nearly six years and of that had been engaged for two. We both have pretty big families and, since being engaged, we have gone back and forth between our vision for the wedding. After a while, things started to get bigger, complicated and way too detail-oriented then we wanted. As time went on, we were itchin’ to get married as we just felt it was time. We decided to have a KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid) wedding with our immediate family and close friends – where we knew we wouldn’t be stressed about any details. We still wanted to have some aspects of the wedding day be traditional and feel extra special. With 12 people, including ourselves, we were able to incorporate that into our day. As for the date, it kind of just fell into our laps! We thought the wedding date itself was simple and unforgettable: 8-10-12.

From Peyton: “We first met on Mariama’s first day at Towson University: August 2006. She had just moved into the Richmond Dormitory and I was playing a board game with an RA. Over several cooking lessons, hangouts, and dates involving new and exciting foods, we became fast friends and our affection grew. Ever since, we have been hard to separate and are always falling more head over heels in love with each other.

College Park Engagement by Jenna Walcott Photography

This couple’s beautiful e-session on the University of Maryland campus is like a picturesque fall postcard! From photographer, Jenna Walcott: “Devon and Glenn met on the campus of University of Maryland and planned their wedding on the grounds at the University Chapel, but since they both live and work out of state, it only made sense to capture as much of the college’s charm and atmosphere that set the stage for their romance while they were in town right before their big day: so we met only 2 days before the wedding to capture their engagement photos! We walked the campus and rode to different corners of it’s beauty… from the President’s driveway, to the classic architecture of the academic buildings, to the rolling hills by the stadiums to – finally – the iconic “M” flowerbed, here are some of my favorites from our day in Terp Territory.”

Hayfields Country Club Wedding by Dani Leigh Photography

Boy meets girl at a happy hour, boy uses a lame pickup line, and then boy marries girl… at least in the case of these two lovebirds! Lucky boy! :) Their gorgeous wedding took place at Hayfields Country Club in Hunt Valley, photographed by Dani Leigh Photography. The grounds were the perfect setting for this couple’s design and color palette… we can’t get enough of their vibrant flowers!

Frederick Engagement by Nicole Barr Photography

Today, we’ve got a fun Frederick area engagement session, courtesy of Nicole Barr Photography! This sweet couple explored the Walkersville Railroad Museum for a bit of a travel vibe, then headed over to Crumland Farm for some more casual portraits. Fall colors and beautiful light… what’s not to love?

From Nicole: “The Walkersville Railroad Museum graciously let us explore the area. Emily and Phillip’s style suited the setting so well. When we first arrived, the museum staff thought we were all there as actors for the Murder Mystery Train!”
