If you’ve never been to Centennial Lake, you’ll have to head on over and check it out. It’s a great spot in Columbia, MD to take a walk (or run), go on a boat ride, or even catch some fish. Amanda, Jimmy, and their dog Sully headed to the area for their engagement photos on a beautiful afternoon. Thanks to Emily Chastain Photography for sending over these photos to us! We’ll let her take it from here:

“Amanda is so friendly and outgoing, and I love her curious mind because it is a lot like mine – always asking questions. Jimmy balances this out perfectly with his more reserved and grounded demeanor. We had fun walking the 2+ mile loop around Centennial Lake, chatting the whole way. Oh, and I love their dog Sully – what a cutie!”

WOW! That’s how we start today’s post and we’re sure you’ll react the same way when you see these gorgeous photos by Merkle Photography! This couple wanted to create a wedding to remember for their guests and themselves, and we think you’ll agree.

From the bride: “We wanted to create classic elegance with a twist, and wanted to be able to look back at our pictures decades from now and still like what we saw. From the variance in table shapes, linens and centerpieces to the black dance floor, lounge furniture, ice luge and candy bar, we really tried to create an experience for our guests. Something they have never seen before and will probably not see ever again!”

This stunning affair at the Evergreen Museum & Library has both delicate and elegant details, capturing the couple’s style to a T. More importantly though, we can see their love for one another and how much fun they have with one another! The photographer, Pier23, describes it perfectly:

“For me, as a photographer, it’s about the relationships in the end. Gorgeous settings, impressive backdrops, extravagant spreads – are fun and can certainly add to the overall composition + interest of the photo… but it’s the relationship that really adds depth to a photo. I’ll take an incredible relationship in the most unaesthetic setting any day of the week. Relationship trumps all.” Agreed!
