If there is anything to be learned from Emily and Jonathan’s Elkridge Furnace Inn wedding, it’s that rain doesn’t have to be a major change to your wedding plans. As long as you are with your partner, your day will already be exponentially brighter. The greatest thing about Emily and Jonathan is that they are up for any adventure. They were up for doing their first look in a light drizzle, portraits in Federal Hill with umbrellas, and night photos in a damp garden. Nothing fazed these two or kept them from having the ultimate wedding day possible. Helping keep the good vibes going were Emily and Jonathan’s guests, who seriously know how to have a good time. As soon as the DJ started the party, a swarm of people filled the dance floor. It was the absolute perfect group of people to lift these two high above the crowd during the Hora, and cheer on their newly formed union. It was a truly unforgettable night.

Same-Sex Elopement by Love to the Core

This same-sex elopement from Love to the Core, makes our hearts happy! Corinne shares more: “In February it is very cold in Maryland so an indoor venue is what we considered when planning the session. Church and Company’s Branch No. 3 is an old library recently converted into an event space, with beautiful details paired with airy natural light. It was a perfect fit. The venue’s large green plants fit Karyn’s calm nature. Their vintage motor bikes fit Kat’s wild heart. With all of my couples I ask them to fill out a questionnaire separately about each other without knowing what the other said until the day of our meeting. It creates really beautiful reactions and brings a personal touch to those who are involved making the day more about the couple’s love. Karyn and Kat are both in the military so they have much to look forward to after they get out. One of the questions on the questionnaire states what they envision their new future together. Kat answered: “I’m looking forward to everything!! I can’t wait to buy a home together, to cook dinners and try random Pinterest DIY projects, and to decorate it to make it “ours.” I’m extremely excited to have little mixed babies crawling around our home. Karyn is absolutely amazing with kids, and I know she’s going to be the best mama! I can’t wait to buy ponies so our kids can learn Western and run those ponies all over the place (she wants them to learn English but it isn’t going to happen)! I also might just buy a mini three-wheeler so they can speed around outside and worry the crap out of Karyn.. (I’d obviously never let anything happen to them). You know, I really can’t wait to see the next chapter, after we both get out of the military. Karyn wants to be an elementary school teacher and I can’t wait to watch her interact and influence knowledge in a younger generation. She has a way with kids, and it’s beautiful to watch. In all, I look forward to every.. single.. beautiful moment with my new wife. I couldn’t ask for a better best friend, a better partner.. or a better human being to spend my life with. And, I want to tell her thank you.. For loving me, for making me better, for having patience, and for saying yes.” Reading their answers to them on their wedding day was an honor to witness and reminds me that I love what I do and what I create for people in love is important.”

How sweet is this Hampden Engagement Session from Meghan Elizabeth Photography!? Meghan shares more: “They both headed to a friend of theirs’ birthday party. Libations were enjoyed and small talked ensued. The party was a success, Aaron drove Tricia and some of her friends home. Upon arrival at the house, her friends insisted that Tricia thank Aaron with a kiss on the cheek – with a quick peck and a step out the door, Tricia walked away for a whole year. Exactly a year later, that same friend had another birthday party and they both showed up again. Except this year things ended a little differently and no one walked away for a year. Instead they saw each other quite a lot afterwards and quickly became an item. Fast forward some time later and finally Aaron put a ring on her finger and here we are setting up their engagement portraits. They’re good friends with one of the employees at The Charmery and one of Tricia’s best friends owns Luigi’s, so they visit those spots quite often. So why not shoot there?! Tricia & Aaron’s Hampden Engagement Portraits were a blast to shoot and I loved spending time with them!!”

David and Lauren first met at the University of Delaware in 2004. They were neighbors in the dorm, Dickinson A, and became friends on move in day, but it wasn’t until after graduation in 2008 that they started dating. 7 years later, Dave proposed & a whirlwind 10-month engagement led to their perfect Mountain Branch wedding in October of 2016. Bride, Lauren, says “It was a perfect day. We both felt so lucky that everything from our family, friends, vendors, and even the weather were so perfect. It was truly the happiest day of our lives and feel so blessed to be surrounded by so much love on our special day.”
