Every now and then we love to feature a wedding that is just outside our specific region, often weddings in southern Pennsylvania that is right over the state line. Today we are so happy to feature this gorgeous wedding from Nathan Desch Photography! Held at Ironstone Ranch in Elizabethtown, PA, it has so many beautiful DIY details that you’re sure to love.
In just about a month, we’ll be celebrating Charm City Wed’s 2 year blogging anniversary. 2 years! It may not seem that long, but we’re incredibly proud that we’re still here and helping bring amazing wedding inspiration to the Baltimore area.
Today, though, we’re announcing big change. As of this week, our Editor Serena will be stepping back her regular duties as Editor to be a part-time Contributing Editor, and I will now be Editor-in-Chief. Serena will be moving out of state, so although she won’t be in the Baltimore area any longer, she will visit from time to time and still contribute to the blog!
As for me: I am so excited to be moving forward with this new responsibility!!… but I don’t take it lightly. If there’s one thing I know for sure, it’s that you can’t run a successful blog completely alone! Having a great team of contributors, advisors, and even another editor (I hope!) is what will make a blog thrive. I’m in the process of building up a great team of wedding enthusiasts in and around Baltimore that love this city and love the industry, and I promise you that we’ll be here for the long haul.
That being said, if you’re interested in being a contributor or are looking to get into the wedding editorial industry and think you’d be a great intern– Then I’d love to hear from you! You can email me at hello[at]charmcitywed[dot]com, or fill out the form below to sign up for our newsletter, and I’ll be emailing everyone shortly with more details.
Congratulations with your new role, Rochelle! You have a great eye, and have so much passion for bringing the best to the Baltimore area Bride.ReplyCancel
We know this couple wanted to make their e-session special when we read their story and saw their pictures! Even the simplest of locales combined with the obvious love they share created these beautiful shots.
More from photographer, Inspired Photography by Susie & Becky: “These images were taken in the little alleys that Catie and Blake walk through on their way home to one another each day, in front of Peter’s Inn famous red door they’ve opened to so many dinner dates, and even the spot where Blake proposed to Catie. So thanks to the generosity of management at Peter’s Inn (who let us in 30 mins before their dinner hour for photos), I know that these particular engagement photos will be treasured right along with Catie and Blake’s wedding photos.”
There’s nothing better than seeing the best day of your life come to fruition and work out better than you could ever have imagined! This couple had a rockin’ good time at the Baltimore Museum of Industry, and all of the fun was captured by Dani Leigh Photography!
More details and great advice from the bride, Jessie: “Our main goal throughout the whole wedding process was to keep stress at a bare minimum and have really fun wedding. We ended up having an “untraditionally, traditional” wedding complete with a dude of honor and bridesdude, wedding soundtrack escort “cards”, gold dinosaurs, a buddy marrying us, and a school bus as our shuttle. On the night of the wedding everything came together perfectly! It was nice to see our vision become a reality and everyone understood all of our “random” ideas. We had the best vendors working on our wedding. I literally had nothing to worry about except my sprained ankle which needed regular icing and elevation. In retrospect we are happy with every decision that we made and had the best time of our lives! We highly recommend that people do whatever feels right. Do not look to advice columns for “should dos”, follow your gut and your budget!”
Thank you so much for the feature. I love reliving all of these great memories!!ReplyCancel
