Baltimore Wedding with Unique Warehouse Reception
Looking for a less traditional wedding with lots of fun colors and a completely surprising reception venue? Look no further. This wedding was photographed by Amber Kay Photography and the reception was held at a furniture warehouse, which focuses on recycling vintage items. Guests mingled and explored the space, then danced the night away with live music.
The girls got ready in the couple’s waterfront home. The ceremony took place among the gardens of their backyard which overlooks the water. The bride wore a simple sheath gown with a mini-bouquet that showcased pops of pink and coral. The bodice of her gown had a lace overlay that was simple and garden-like. Details were minimal as the locations provided a lot of character and visual interest. The guys wore khaki slacks and jackets with light pink shirts and whimsical boutonnieres.
At the reception, guests mingled in the ‘art gallery’ and sat among the variety of sofas and seating areas scattered throughout the warehouse. The vintage furniture and unique decor can’t be understated. They used the entire space with the items that were in the warehouse for their reception. The venue, Second Chance, is a “quirky secondhand shop featuring furniture, building supplies, art & gifts in warehouse-like digs.” Even better, the space was large enough to accommodate their 250 guests and keep them entertained for the evening. Live music was provided by The Shatners who describe themselves as a high energy dance party band. So, if your thinking of how you can have a wedding in a totally unique space, this wedding highlights that there are some really unique opportunities in places others wouldn’t think of. Even if looking for a more glam event, a stylist could absolutely dress it up even more or you could look into a vintage rental warehouse…. We hope you enjoy this feature!
