This Mountain Branch Golf Club Wedding by Kathleen Hertel Photography is FULL of family and 4th of July fun! Today’s bride tells us,“From the moment we got engaged, our families jumped right in to help us plan (I think that they secretly worried we would never find that perfect person) :) Byron’s sister started stalking me with Pinterest ideas and was always there to give me suggestions. I immediately asked my best friend Tria to be my Maid of Honor and we started the planning. I initially had my heart set on getting married at the Zoo when I found out that we could have a penguin at our reception, but from the moment we walked into the tent at Mountain Branch we knew it was our venue. The icing on the cake was that they had the 4th of July available. I am a Christmas baby, so it is only fitting that my anniversary should be a national holiday as well :) And the thought of having fireworks every year to celebrate with was a fun idea. We reached out to friends and family to make sure that they could make the trip and everyone was all in (especially since it was a 3 day weekend). We also changed directions on the theme since we were planning a beachy teal wedding–now we were full on non-tacky patriotic. We straddled that line of tacky and tasteful and had so much fun adding little punches of whimsy when we could. We set our sights on having the best party that we possibly could and have been told by all of our guests that it was their favorite wedding ever!”
