Church & Company Wedding by B.O.B Photography

We love a couple who stays true to their roots and it shows in this Church & Company Wedding by B.O.B Photography. With the couples vintage style, every piece of the wedding reflects their personality and they made their guests feel right at home in Baltimore. We just love the groom’s expression seeing his bride walk down the aisle! Today’s bride, Seferina tells us, “In essence, we wanted our wedding to reflect our personalities: we didn’t care about the niceties so much as the actual wedding and reception to be fun and laid-back. We love all plants… and I especially love flowers: peonies, ranunculus, gardenias, anemones. Our bouquets were made by Whole Foods based on very loose descriptions on what I liked and they came out *beautifully* – a lot of eucalyptus with anemones and mine had also a gardenia. I bought airplants and succulents over the entire summer and kept like 80 plants alive for the 13 terrariums I made as centerpieces. We had a combination of old, refurbished, and new glassware to make the terrariums but I mainly used apothecary glass to symbolize our profession: we are both pharmacists (and nerds, clearly)!  We chose Hampden as our location because we got to know each other here, we fell in love here, and now we live here… growing our little family. Our story could be mapped in this area. It was natural to have our wedding at our neighborhood parish, St. Thomas Aquinas. We walked into this former church on Falls Road and knew *immediately* it was of our aesthetic: quirky paintings, old, old furniture, gray walls, antique taxidermy. Alex is a buff on the history of the neighborhood as well! (Turns out our church was designed by the same architect that built Church and Company over a hundred years ago!) Jacob is Italian/Irish and I am Korean/Hispanic. As a nod to my heritage, I wore a mantilla veil – a traditional Spanish veil and bright red, traditional, Korean, ceremonial shoes made for me. Our desserts were a collection of pies – because who likes vegan cake? – half-vegan, half-vegetarian: chocolate chess, lemon-blueberry, pumpkin. Lastly, our drinks. His signature drink was an Old Fashioned made with Bulleit Rye and mine was an Aperol spritzer made with Tintero’s Moscato D’Asti, Aperol, and basil. His signature beer was Union Anthem and mine was Old Oriole Park Bohemian. We’re both fans of craft beers and wanted to keep it local – both being within 2 or so miles from where we live.”
