Elkridge Furnace Inn Wedding by Bethany & Dan Photography

Today’s wedding at the Elkridge Furnace Inn is filled to the brim with an ever-so-sweet couple and whimsical details. A huge thank you goes to Bethany & Dan Photography for sending over these fun images! We’ll let Jess (the bride) take it from here:

From Jess: “Eric and I had a relatively short engagement period (5 and a half months) so with the help of great friends and family we planned a wonderful day! Our vision for the day came together pretty organically.

We embraced the fall: an outdoor ceremony, our hand-drawn tree inspired invitation & ceremony programs, maple-pecan cupcakes, pies (apple, pumpkin & pecan), and green bridesmaids dresses. We let the ten bridesmaids (yes, there were ten!) choose any short green dress they wanted, to suite their body and budget. It turned out gorgeous. The groomsmen wore grey suits and green ties, all different but coordinated.”

“The reception site was a typical white tent attached to the historic Inn, so we wanted to bring the same warmth and coziness from the historic Inn and outdoor places into the tents. My husband (a barista) and I have spent many dates and conversation over hot tea & coffee, so we wanted to make that the theme for the tables. Floriography ran with it to create an elegant, welcoming, vintage “tea party” feel – incorporating many tea pots borrowed from family and friends, making awesome one of a kind elements (like fabric & coffee bean spheres), and overall creating an awesome atmosphere! Also, on the back of each guest’s table number card, we had a message saying, ‘We are so thankful you are here because…‘ Eric and I filled each one out with a sentence or two to each person – reminding them that we knew they were there, why they are special to us, and that we love them.”
