“For their Herrington Wedding, Jovanna and Joaquin worked with Diana Ram from Passionate Weddings, LLC to make their 7 month seamless planning process a reality. Jovanna, a northern Virginia native with a Bolivian background, and Joaquin from Uruguay, celebrated their mid-day mass unity at Our Lady of Peace located in Arlington, Virginia. As the sun shined and the weather grew warmer, the couple hosted their evening reception at Herrington on the Bay in North Beach, Maryland. Their reception was surrounded by bayview waters, scattered docked boats and spacious pier settings. As springtime had approached, pops of blush pink and hints of ivory and greens were part of their color scheme. What better way to welcome a spring wedding than with cherry blossoms. La boda continued, and many hugs and kisses were exchanged. They celebrated with la hora loca (Crazy hour dance) posed selfies in the photobooth and nonstop cultural music.”

Bride, Emily shares: “Nick and I could not have planned this wedding without the help of my mom, sister, and cousin! My sister has quite the eye for style, so whenever I had to make a decision regarding wedding decorations, she was my “go-to” gal! When I started wedding dress shopping, I swore up and down that I would not wear a lace wedding gown. However, with the persistence of my mother, I finally tried on a lace gown and instantly fell in love with it! As soon as I put on my dress, I knew it was the one! I guess mothers do know best! After realizing that I do indeed love lace, I wanted to incorporate it with everything! We made our own lace covered center pieces and our wonderful florist incorporated lace into our beautiful bouquets. I could not have asked for a more perfect or beautiful day! Despite the rain, our wonderful photographer, Lauren Myers Photography, captured the most beautiful photos – I was so excited to see that our umbrella photos turned out so perfectly! Our entire wedding day was amazing; I loved being able to spend the best day of Nick and I’s life thus far celebrating with our family & friends. A special thank you to all of the vendors that helped to make our day absolutely perfect!”

We adore this intimate bohemian-style affair from Kirsten Smith Photography! It started with a ceremony at the Martini Lutheran Church, and culminated with a family-style Bluegrass Tavern wedding reception. The bride, Kelley, tells us more about their big day.
“I wanted a easy, peaceful vibe accented with lots of flowers. I never really had a specific color theme just based it on a bohemian floral theme. We were married in my family’s church. 7 generations were married there before us along with my ancestor’s who founded Martini Lutheran Church. My bridesmaids wore butterfly necklaces in memory of my best friend who passed from cancer. Our daughter, Nora, traveled down the aisle in a wagon that was painted and decorated by my cousin and bridesmaids. We kept our wedding small and I loved sharing such intimate moments with our closest family and friends. I loved having a moment “alone” with Andrew before the wedding at the first look. The whole thing was about sharing our favorite things with our loved ones…. the neighborhood Andrew and I lived in (Federal Hill) our family’s church, our favorite restaurant, Bluegrass Tavern, and hand-picked wine pairings, the afterparty @ No Idea Tavern, which was our “go to” spot/ dive bar when we lived in the neighborhood. Sharing all these special places and moments is what I think made our day perfect!”

Tabrizi’s Baltimore Wedding by Living Radiant Photography

This Tabrizi’s Baltimore wedding, captured by Living Radiant Photography, has a great story of how the couple met! “Liz & Jason first met each other in Canton at Looney’s Pub over 7 years ago, a local and well attended sports bar downtown. Liz was a bartender at Looney’s when they met and Jason was a regular guest back then. But it wasn’t till Liz bought her house around the block from where Jason had been living that made this all possible. The street is called “Fait Street” which I love because of Fate bringing them together (yep, I’m a nerd and totally stole that from the Best Man’s speech!)… Liz was walking her dog Jackson when they bumped into each other. They exchanged numbers and the rest is history.”
