We’re in love with this fun & festive Baltimore conservatory wedding at the Rawlings Conservatory! Photographer Jill Fannon had a few sweet words about Brittany+Richard’s wedding day! “Brittany and Richard were both giddy, excited, so sweet and happy to be getting married. Brittany got ready at the couples home in the heart of Baltimore, before taxi-ing up with her best friends to the Rawlings Conservatory at Druid Hill Park. Richard, smiling in anticipation with his best mates was then greeted by Brittany, and they shared their vows under the tropical backdrop of the Palm House Garden. Golden sunlight illuminated the space, and guests cheered for their first kiss. We traveled around the gardens for some pictures following their ceremony and then guests were welcomed to a great speech by the best men. It had everyone laughing and out of their seats. The night ended in dancing and celebrations.”
This colorful and casual elegant Mathwig Barn wedding is one to inspire for sure! Birds of a Feather provided the beautiful photography, as well as these words about the couple, and how they incorporated their love story into their wedding celebration!
“Katie and Matt met at work, and for their first date decided to have lunch at their favorite food truck. A couple years later, they said their vows in the hills of Thurmont, MD while guests sat on hay bales covered in antique quilts. Katie wore a one of a kind gown unlike any other we’ve seen, carried bright and colorful dried flowers, and was an effortless beauty with simple makeup and long flowing curls hanging down her back. Matt, wore his own tweed suit and a bright plaid tie on their wedding day. Their bridal party was not traditional, asymmetrical, but was made up of the couple’s “best people”. The ladies of the bridal party chose their own dresses in a variety of Fall theme colors, while the men of the bridal party wore vests and/or suspenders for this elegant yet casual event.”
“After the gorgeous ceremony ended, guests enjoyed a popcorn machine and snacks during cocktail hour. When it was time for dinner, the very same food truck Katie and Matt went to for their first date pulled up to the barn’s entry doors. The couple served their guests their most favorite meal, and made even the choice of caterer something that represented their love story. Table tops were adorned with handmade fabric flowers, mismatched china collected by the couple for the 12 months leading to their wedding, and hand drawn table numbers full of fun cartoon animals. The couple sat in front of a bright and colorful ribbon backdrop at their sweetheart table. Once the party started, guests danced all night long, and the couple ended their day by sending off fire lanterns into the night’s sky.”
The historic district of Ellicott City has so much charm, but it’s got nothing on Lindsie+Tom! Photographer Katie Nesbitt shared a few words about these Ellicott City Engagement photos: “We had such a great time exploring the quaint downtown area with Lindsie and Tom, who both grew up in the area and love hanging out there when they have free time. These two made it such an enjoyable evening and they couldn’t be more photogenic if they tried! We can’t wait for their wedding this fall at the Belvedere in Baltimore!”

From the couple, Will & Melissa: “We met in high school through mutual friends. Hit it off right away but due to bad timing and a bigger passion to focus on school, the relationship did not last very long. It wasn’t until after high school that we reunited at a perfect time in our lives and have been together ever since the spring of 2006!We chose Bolton Hill and the MICA campus as our engagement shoot location because we spent a ton of time in that area the first few years of our relationship. It’s where Will went to college, where we spent most of our time getting to know one another, visiting all the quirky mom and pop shops and eateries in the area. Our favorite memory would probably be Will’s old college apartment. We spent a lot of time there the first couple years of our relationship getting to know each other, having late nights of ice cream and talking for hours, getting introduced to new friends, and living simply and for the moment. The Brown Center is also a highlight. Will graduated from MICA in 2007 and that was one of our first big celebrations and accomplishments we shared as a couple. The memories that were created there and the love that blossomed, looking back, it reminds us of how far we have come since those days and how much we will cherish them forever.”
