We salute this classically patriotic Star Spangled Banner Museum Wedding from Artful Weddings!

“While the country celebrated the 200th anniversary of the Star Spangled Banner, Carrie and Kevin celebrated their wedding day in the thick-of-it at the historic Star Spangled Banner Flag House.

The ceremony took place at the Basilica in Mt. Vernon and the wedding party’s post-nuptial portraits were graced by Blue-Angels’ fly-overs. The bride, in her patriotism, was almost in tears at every passing of the jet planes.

Their reception stood among the history of the day, with the flag front of the building presiding over the courtyard cocktail hour, bride, groom and guests ate, danced and toasted in a room adorned in the flag of this nation. And just for their wedding day, Baltimore celebrated with 6 barges of Harbor-side firework displays.”

We are thrilled to share this ‘Blissfully Bohemian Wedding Styled Shoot today from Ashton Kelley Photography! “Lindsay and Matt are getting married on 12/13/14. They are working closely with Jillian from Elle Ellinghaus Designs here in Baltimore, and were the perfect couple to model for this “Blissfully Bohemian” styled shoot to end the summer. Many local vendors from Baltimore and surrounding offered up time to make this peaches and cream dream come true, but the highlight was watching Lindsay and Matt be adorable, caught up in one another, and sharing their love with us. The two did not have a chance to do an engagement session, so Jillian connected me with them as a way to do something more wedding forward. We all had a blast working together and they were a beautiful couple! The light was gorgeous, the setting, and it was a wedding photographer’s happy place.”

“Anne and Tyler have the best proposal story ever. Tyler planned this elaborate proposal on top of a mountain with a professional photographer and a gorgeous view. Fast forward to day of- A LOT of snow. His friends who went ahead of him to get things set up got stuck.
So Tyler had to come up with a plan B. So he just did it at a nearby park, and Anne was just as happy! Even though their proposal day was quite the stormy one, their wedding day was all sunshine! The mint bridesmaid dresses and neutral bouquets brought everything together beautifully.”

“Andrea and John met at a frat party when they were both students at UMD, he was walking down the stairs and she was walking up. Who would have known that that fateful meeting would lead to a lifetime of love? These two are actually already married, as they were wed in a small courthouse wedding last year prior to John’s deployment. John is active duty Air Force. His deployment ended up being cancelled so they started planning their big wedding right away! I couldn’t think of a better place for their pre-wedding “engagement” session than the very place that they met years ago, at University of Maryland, College Park!”
