Soft and sultry, this is one romantic engagement session from Elizabeth Fogarty! “I like to call Karla and Alex my “best hair” couple. Come on, you know it’s true. They picked Federal Hill in Baltimore for their engagement session and it could not have been more perfect. The cobblestone street and the overlook at the top of the hill during sunset were absolutely PERFECT! Karla wore a blush dress, with a beautiful accent necklace while Alex was sporting some pretty nice loafers. There were lots of giggles, hand holding, and kisses!”
Is there a more perfect time to throw a party than on New Years Eve!? Add a champagne toasting, horn blowing, lovebird smooching wedding to the mix & we say CUE THE CONFETTI!!
Today we have two weddings to share – a super energetic wedding at the Inn at the Colonnade from Clickspark – if you don’t get excited for Michelle & Bryan’s countdown, check your pulse! “Filming when the ball drops is an energy during a reception that will forever be hard to come by! New Year festivities were sure to keep their party rockin’ wedding until the early morning. With basically all the guests staying overnight we knew we were in for a good time of dancing and celebratin’! I loved their first look, the doughnuts to snack on and all the fun New Years decor!”
We also have this gorgeous confetti-throwing wedding at the American Visionary Art Museum from Elle Ellinghaus Designs! We are obsessed with the Save the Dates & Invitations that mlc Designs created! What a perfect preview to the big event! Elle shares a few words about the celebration – “When I meet with couples, I ask them to describe their wedding in three words. Most of the time they think for a couple minutes, but not for Julie & Eric. The moment I asked, the beautiful bride smiled up at me and said, “Cue the Confetti!” It suited them and their New Years Eve sparkling wedding perfectly! Not to mention, I was hooked and slightly obsessed with this wedding from the day she spoke those three lovely words.
Planning with Julie and her family was so much fun; we added glitter to every corner, multiplied more sequins here and infused more fun there. The bridesmaids and I spent a night dipping thousands of feathers in glitter which sparkled as they hung over the dance floor and were attached to the head table backdrop. There were two confetti bars on both sides of the band with overflowing apothecary jars of confetti. The mix of square, long and round tables were dressed in two linens: sequins and feathers, to really set the mood along with blush uplighting. As guests entered into the reception, they were greeted by flowing white sheers which opened to the glittered top floor of the AVAM as well as a pianist playing the piano in a not-so elegant way. I had told the pianist I wanted him to set them mood by bobbing his head from side to side and banging those keys like Beethoven to get everyone pumped and ready for this sparkling & fun affair. He did not disappoint!
Each place setting had a menu from the calligrapher and a glitter horn upon a mix and match of gold chargers. I even surprised Julie & Eric with a champagne tower moments before midnight. When midnight approached and the band counted down to one, confetti was flown in the air so thick you could not even see a foot in front of you and continued to pour from everyone’s hands. It was truly a glamorous and fabulous wedding! Every guest left beaming with huge smiles on their faces and confetti in their hair. The bride and I laughed with each other after our teary goodbye hug as she said, “Elle…confetti, cued!”
This Tabrizi’s wedding from Liz And Ryan was filled with emotions and beautiful moments!
“Kim and Jay had the most beautiful day to celebrate their Baltimore Inner Harbor Wedding at Tabrizi’s! The blue sky and puffy white clouds made the waterfront views that much more gorgeous! The emotions of excitement and pure happiness on Kim and Jay’s faces were so visible ALL DAY! Seriously, that happy glow never once left their faces… especially after they were officially married! What a happy day! Their wedding started with a beautiful ceremony at The Shrine of Sacred Heart. After the ceremony we captured photos in Federal Hill Park and overlooking the view of Inner Harbor. Next we headed on over to Tabrizi’s for some gorgeous nautical photos and finished with a few night time photos with Domino Sugar in the background.”
“Our engagement session took place on a perfect summer night. We decided to have all of our pictures taken in and around our home in Roland Park. We made sure to go to the creek behind our house where we got engaged, Petit Louis Bistro where we went after our engagement to celebrate, and inside our home which we hold so close to our heart. Everything about our engagement was incredibly personal, and we wanted our photos to reflect that.”
Oh my goodness, the stationery is divine!!
