The inspiration behind this shoot corresponds to the elegance and majestic beauty of Penderyn of Maryland—an exceptional waterfront estate and wedding venue on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. The property, furnished with antique elements and full of exquisite arched pathways and windows, provided beautiful textures and colors very inviting to our creativity. We decided to bring a bit of an old French vintage style and match it with contemporary elements.
While we at Claire Duran Weddings and Events took care of the overall vision and coordination of the shoot, there were many other wonderful vendors who also took part in this lovely project.
For the design of the wedding stationery, Honey Scope Paper opted for an ethereal and sophisticated beauty that wove in hues of blush, pearl and soft gray. To complement these paper goods, Sarah Bohl brought her amazing calligraphy work. Her work on the napkins, which were serving as place cards, was particularly beautiful. Eight Tree Street blew us away with a beautiful variety of flower arrangements to adorn the long banquet table, incorporating an ivory, blush and lavender palette to provide an interesting contrast to the other prevailing venue colors. Our models Matilde and Jonathan have been dating for three years, and their love and the way they constantly make each other smile is simply contagious. Finally, we can showcase this to the world thanks to the incredible talent of Joe Foley Photography who masterfully captured every detail of the day with a perfect balance of artistry and function.
Welcome To My Wedding created a classic French breakfast inspired welcome basket filled with custom packaged treats in shades of white and blush–everything you would find sitting at a cafe overlooking the Champs Elysees. They also designed a Midnight in Paris themed wedding favor of madeleines for a perfect late night snack.
The breathtaking Mira Zwillinger’s Beatrice gown was provided by Carine’s Bridal and the groom’s attire by Bethesda Custom Tailors.
Hair and makeup were the results of Georgetown Bride, who made our bride look even more beautiful with a clean high bun updo, smokey eye make up and nude lipstick.
Get Plated Caterers delighted us with beef wellington, croquet monsieur, and beignets that were not only delicious in taste, but also of exquisite presentation.
Buttercream Bakeshop did a suite of desserts inspired by the uniqueness of Penderyn. Their hand-decorated cookies particularly resembled the 3D flower details of the bridal gown.
