Soft blush florals contrast beautifully with the bright blue skies of this Belvedere Wedding from Lindsay Hite of ReadyLuck. The bride, Ashley, shares a bit about her wedding day:
“Doug and I planned our wedding in the span of 10 months. From the beginning, I had a solid vision that I wanted the feel of our day to be both intimate and polished. I’m a classic girly girl so our jumping off point was the color scheme of whites, creams and blush hues. For our venue, The Belvedere seemed to fit our criteria of having that really timeless quality about it as well as the option of having everything (ceremony, cocktail hour and reception) all in one place. This made things super easy and convenient for our guests.
From the time I said “yes” in Cape May, we tackled everything 50/50, and having Doug on board the planning train was such a tremendous help. To keep us on track, I printed out a checklist of everything we needed to do and when, and we really stuck to that timeline throughout the entire planning process. We also relied heavily on vendor recommendations from friends, WeddingWire and TheKnot.com. I can’t stress enough to do your homework on choosing the right vendors — they will make a huge difference in how smooth your day goes!
The hardest part of planning for me personally was on the mental side of things — just not getting too overwhelmed by all of the tiny details. On the other hand, being so detail oriented helped our day go as planned. We spent a lot of time thinking through the timeline of events, placement of objects and people, and the overall look and feel of each space and moment. It all paid off because our wedding was exactly the way we wanted it and we were able to enjoy every single moment! I would say above all be true to yourself in planning. Go with your gut on your “must haves” and what feels important and personal to you as a couple. There’s no standard formula for weddings anymore, which is a great thing and allows you to be creative.”
