Elegant Hairstyles: Braided Updo for Medium Length Hair

When thinking of your wedding hairstyle, there are literally thousands of styles to choose from. Finding the perfect style can be difficult, especially if you’re looking to do something unique that others may not have done before. Today we’ve got a great hairstyle using an intricate braid that may be just what you’re looking for! Our lovely model for today’s post is Natalie Franke, area wedding photographer and editor of Bayside Bride.

If there’s one thing I love to do most with hair, its braiding. I love learning new braids, because it seems as though someone has created a new one every day! I affectionately call this braid the Traintrack braid, although it is also known as the Knot Headband, Chain Link braid, and by other names. I braided the front section of Natalie’s hair, teased the crown, and then swept her hair into a low side bun, accenting the bun with interweaving braids.
